Horns, Hides, Laughs and Rides

This is the best picture that I could get of the boys together all ready for the fair (I had to strap them in to get them to sit still, but that still doesn't mean they kept their hands to themselves!) Riley had been on my heels all week about going to the fair and being in the parade.

Yes, if you look close enough that is Paige in her car seat sitting next to Uncle Ryan in the Quad Trac. Don't worry, she is fully buckled into the passenger seat. This is a new marketing gimmick for Morrow County Grain Growers, they can now say their tractors are equipped to accommodate the family farmer! :-)

Riley and Reed sat on four wheelers and tossed candy to the crowd while being pulled by the Quad Trac pictured above driven by Uncle Ryan. Papa followed behind in a really cool tractor and Aunt Joli and mom were on kid patrol riding on the trailer with the boys. Dad had been called into work an hour before the parade had begun so he was unable to join us, bum deal. By the end of the parade the boys were eating more candy than they were throwing! :-)

As soon as the sun went down (and Riley was eagerly watching the horizon for this to occur), we hit up the carnival at the fair and Riley decided to upgrade his experience from the kiddie rides to "the big guns" and tested out the Tilt O' Whirl. He is sold on this experience, Good bye little boat that goes round n' round, hello Gravitron and The Hammer! I still have Reed though. He wasn't about to go on anything that went faster than a snail's pace. More Fair photos have been added to our "Summer Fun" link.

Your boys are some of the cutest cowboys I have ever seen. Oh and by the way, great job on keeping up the family blog.
